Before Season 4 even began, Fox renewed LEGO Masters for another season. Fox Entertainment’s president of unscripted programming, Allison Wallach, announced the news on September 13. This announcement is truly Bricktastic!
Fox Renews LEGO Masters for Season 5
Fans’s wish has come true earlier than expected. LEGO Masters season 5 will air in FOX’s 2024-25 schedule. The renewal was revealed ahead of the premiere of Season 4 on September 28.
Alongside the series renewal, there was confirmation that Will Arnett will return as host and executive producer. In addition, Brickmasters Amy Corbett and Jamie Berard will return as the show’s judges.
For those who may not know, LEGO Masters is a competition show that follows teams of two as they compete in brick-building challenges. Every episode, the pairs who get to impress the judges with the most progress will advance to the next round.
In the end, one team will be crowned as the country’s most talented amateur LEGO builders. The winning duo will win a cash prize, the ultimate LEGO trophy, and the grand title of LEGO Masters.
“With Will Arnett at the helm, LEGO Masters has become a foundational property of Fox’s robust unscripted slate and a fast-growing franchise on our schedule,” Wallach said. “This upcoming season is its biggest yet, with the most amazing brick challenges and creative builders ever, and we are delighted to reward Will, Endemol Shine North America, Tuesday’s Child, Plan B Entertainment and the LEGO Group with this milestone Season Five renewal to give fans more incredible LEGO builds.”
Season 5 will feature a new set of builders from the country, challenged to create unique designs. At this time, there has yet to be an official release date for LEGO Masters season 5.
Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular Set to Premiere Its Second Installment
In addition to the renewal, FOX also revealed that LEGO Masters: Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular will premiere again this holiday season. The television series will air on December 18 and 19.
NeNe Leakes, Marshawn Lynch, Kelly Osbourne, and Rob Riggle will join forces with previous LEGO Masters contestants for holiday-themed building challenges. Arnett will also serve as host of the show.
Considering the ongoing WGA and SAG strike, LEGO Masters plays a crucial role in Fox’s fall line-up. The network depends on its unscripted series to fill primetime slots.
LEGO Masters is produced by Endemol Shine North America, Tuesday’s Child and Plan B Entertainment. Meanwhile, Arnett executive produces alongside Sharon Levy, DJ Nurre and Michael Heyerman for Endemol Shine, Karen Smith and Steph Harris for Tuesday’s Child, Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner for Plan B, Jill Wilfert and Robert May for the LEGO Group and showrunner Pip Wells.
