As Dancing With The Stars season 32 pair Rylee Arnold and Harry Jowsey continue to vie for the Mirrorball, they suffer from difficult time due to the sudden loss of Jowsey’s puppy. Fans hope that their time in mourning doesn’t affect their dances this week, since they have already given various unsatisfying and low scoring performances.
Harry Jowsey’s Puppy Passes Away Before DWTS Monster Night
Ahead of tonight’s episode, Arnold shared an Instagram post featuring her and her Too Hot To Handle partner, posing in front of the studio’s mirror. In the snapshot, the youngest DWTS pro admitted that their practice days have been bumpy.
“Such a hard week but I’m so proud of @harryjowsey and so excited to dance this Tuesday,” she wrote.
Later, Arnold reposted Jowsey’s Instagram Story post, featuring the two of them smiling while Jowsey was holding his French bulldog puppy. She then hinted at what happened, writing “forever miss lil bean.”
Over the weekend, Jowsey shared the bitter news on Snapchat Story that his dog Bean died. The Netflix reality star then explained what happened to his puppy.
“We lost Bean this weekend, when we were about to leave she fell off the couch and landed flat on her back. We raced her to the emergency & vet explained that it wasn’t looking good for her. I made sure they did everything they could to save her,” he said.
“Yesterday they called me and told me that I had to come say goodbye, so me and Rylee came down and gave her one last kiss and cuddle before she passed,” he continued.
Ahead of the sudden loss, Arnold and Jowsey had been receiving intense criticisms for remaining in the competition despite obtaining low scores each week. Aside from their unsatisfied feedback for Jowsey’s improvement, fans are blaming Arnold for her lack of ability to choreograph good dance routines.
Fans Send Their Condolences, Expresses About Their Performance
As the pair goes through a rough week, fans sent their sympathies to the reality star. In Jowsey’s joint Instagram post with Lindsay Arnold where they are seen doing TikTok in the rehearsal studio, fans sent messages of comfort and support in the comment section.
“So sorry to hear about your puppy Harry,” one fan wrote. “Losing a pet is so devastating. I’m sending you and Rylee love and strength to get through this week.”
“I’m really sorry to hear about your puppy Harry. Sounds like you guys have had a hard week but I’m excited to see you kill it on Tuesday you have my votes,” another fan stated.
On Reddit, many fans are telling people to “be kind” to the dancing couple this week. Stating that losing a pet is never easy, so DWTS viewers should at least give Jowsey some grace.
“Everyone needs to be kind. You never know what people are going through. “He’s sad about his scores last week” shut UP! Having a pet die is traumatic and extremely heartbreaking,” a user wrote.
Despite the loss, Arnold and Jowsey are set to compete on Tuesday night. They will be dancing to Argentine Tango to “Blinding Lights” by District 78. Furthermore, they are also competing in a Hustle/Charleston dance marathon with the other remaining pairs in an attempt to secure extra judges’ points.
Dancing With the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on ABC and simulcasts on Disney+ and streams on Hulu the next day.
