Amid the recent exciting news of adding more dancers to the star studded lineup of the Dancing With The Stars Live 2023 tour, a recent stroke of bad luck struck the DWTS crew. Troupe member Kateryna Klishyna reportedly hurt her ankle performing for the tour. Luckily, she returned to the stage in less than 24 hours.

Kateryna Klishyna Got Injured on the DWTS Live Tour

A member getting injured in the middle of performing on a DWTS tour in not out of the ordinary. Professional dancers have to push their bodies to achieve an almost perfect choreography on the dance floor. An injury may come as a result of overexerting themselves with the almost seven days a week of ballroom practice.

On Monday, January 9, she revealed on Instagram that she sprained her ankle after their Wind Creek Event Center performance. Fans are left wondering how long will she be out of the tour, or who will be filling in for her position while she’s gone. Although fellow pro Britt Stewart confirmed that JJ Rabone would be the one filling in for Klishyna, it seems like she didn’t need much recovery time.

Many expected that Klishyna would need time off, given the sprain, yet she apparently returned to stage on Tuesday night. We’re not positive that Klishyna performed in the show, since her Instagram stories featured reshared footage, and photos of her in her costume. The reshared footage may be old and Klishyna may have had to get dressed up for introductions. There was a photo with her and JJ Rabone behind the scenes, so it seems like Rabone may be filling in.

Klishyna has built an outstanding record of accomplishments, including Ukrainian National Champion. In addition, she also achieved the IDSA World Open Champion, Blackpool Quarter Finalist, and third Austrian Open Champion. She has a tremendous ambition to succeed and be the best she can be. As a third Super-Finalist on So You Think You Can Dance Ukraine, Klishyna has been on mainstream television. Additionally, she is also a professional dancer in DWTS Georgia.

DWTS Pro Emma Slater’s Feet Riddled with Blisters

Turns out Klishyna isn’t the only dancer facing injuries while performing at DWTS Live tour. Although not as severe of an injury as Klishyna’s, seeing Emma Slater’s feet covered in blisters is painful to witness.

Slater revealed to her supporters that she has massive blisters on both of her heels. Additionally, the big toe on her right foot has split on its pad and blood is pooling beneath the skin. She actually started her Instagram story by advising people not to look if they have a problem with blood.

Professional dancer Daniella Karagach was forced to miss the remainder of the tour last year due to an ankle injury that required surgery. The live tour began on January 6 in Maryland and goes through March 12, wrapping up in Las Vegas. With so many shows left on the tour, it is somewhat worrisome that the dancers might end up having the same injuries.
