Auditions for Britain’s Got Talent Series 17 have officially started filming, as shared on the show’s Instagram account. Judge Alesha Dixon even revealed that apparently Bruno Tonioli broke the Golden buzzer on their first day back.

Britain’s Got Talent 2024 Judge Auditions Start Filming

Filming for the 2024 BGT judge auditions began at the London Palladium on Wednesday. The official BGT Instagram account posted the news, along with a photo taken outside the venue, featuring signs for the show.

Judge Alesha Dixon also took to Instagram to post about the start of auditions. She shared a photo to her stories of the Golden Buzzer with a large crack down the center, writing, “Day 1 & Bruno is back, not breaking rules but breaking buzzers!”

She’s referring to judge Bruno Tonioli, who joined the show last year and made headlines for playing fast and loose with the Golden Buzzer rules. It looks like he’s bringing the chaos to the judging panel once again for Series 17.

Dixon and Tonioli will be joined on the panel by longtime BGT judges Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell. Ant & Dec are also returning as the show’s hosts.

The Show Is Filming All Week

BGT is scheduled to be filming auditions throughout this week, into the weekend. As of this writing, there are tapings scheduled for Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. All of them are fully booked, except for one taping on Sunday, which has limited availability.

Traditionally, each of the four judges, as well as the hosts, get to push the Golden Buzzer once. However, the show bent the rules last year as both Tonioli and Cowell hit it twice, and the show also introduced the group Golden Buzzer.

How many Golden Buzzers will there be this year? We’ll have to wait until Series 17 premieres to find out. A premiere date hasn’t been announced yet, but the show typically kicks off in April.
