Get ready to see American Idol and Queen of the Universe alum Ada Vox back on your TV screens. The singer teased that she auditioned for the upcoming new season of America’s Got Talent, which just started filming.
Ada Vox Teases America’s Got Talent Audition
Earlier this week, Vox posted a video on Instagram in which she can be seen wearing a long, sparkly gown and strutting between rows of crates under a spotlight. Notably, the clip is set to the America’s Got Talent theme music.
“I did a thing,” Vox wrote in the post’s caption. “Do you know what it is?”
The video definitely seems to be hinting that Vox auditioned for Season 18 of AGT. Auditions for the new season just started filming in Pasadena, as the judges have been sharing updates from the set on social media.
AGT alum Brian Justin Crum caught on to this, posting in the comments, “This walk is giving very AGT vibes …” Vox hasn’t confirmed it yet, but there doesn’t seem to be much question that this is what she was hinting at.

Vox Previously Competed on American Idol
Ada Vox competed on Season 16 of American Idol, having previously auditioned out of drag as Adam Sanders. Vox made it to the Top 10 of Season 16 before being eliminated. She later competed on Queen of the Universe in 2021.
The Paramount+ series featured singing drag queens competing for the ultimate title. Vox finished the first season of the show in second place behind winner Grag Queen.
According to an old Instagram post, Sanders already auditioned for America’s Got Talent out of drag back in 2015. We can’t wait to see how things go this time around. Although AGT Season 18 doesn’t have a release date yet, the show usually premieres around the end of May.
