America’s Got Talent Season 18 returned on Tuesday night for a new episode, as host Terry Crews hit his Golden Buzzer for Atlanta Drum Academy. The episode also featured a number of other impressive auditions from performers with unique talents.
Terry Crews Hits AGT Golden Buzzer for Atlanta Drum Academy
The final act of the night was Atlanta Drum Academy, a group of young performers who delivered an electrifying performance that involved drumming blindfolded and even throwing their drums around the stage.
The judges loved the act, giving the group a standing ovation. Howie Mandel called them adorable, while Sofia Vergara said they have a “very big chance to win this competition.” Simon Cowell, meanwhile, said it was “one of my favorite, favorite auditions this year.”
Just as the judges were about to vote on whether to send the act through, host Terry Crews stepped out from backstage to tell them that it wasn’t necessary, because he wanted to hit the Golden Buzzer for the talented group.
Crews spoke to an 8-year-old member named Chioma, saying, “You told me backstage that you dreamed about being on AGT and getting a Golden Buzzer. Now Chioma and the Atlanta Drum Academy, I am honored to make that dream come true!”

The Episode Featured Several Other Unique Acts
This week featured quite a few unique acts that put an interesting spin on familiar talents. That includes 12-year-old ventriloquist Brynn Cummings. She and her puppet performed a mentalism routine in which she guessed playing cards and objects.
There was also Alexandr Leshchenko, who performed an incredible routine that combined dance with 3D projections like we’ve never seen on the AGT stage before. Vergara called it the “best thing I’ve seen this season.”
The judges were also impressed by Grace Good, who combined hula hooping with aerial talent, and a little fire thrown in for good measure. Another dangerous act was Herwan Legaillard, a sword swallower who also hung from the ceiling and even swallowed a lighted sword.
