Cristina Ramos has repeatedly proved that she’s the opposite of a one-trick-pony on talent shows. This outstanding multi-genre singer is able to wow you with both her opera and rock sides. Here are five facts about this unique Got Talent opera singer.
1. She Was Born and Raised in Las Palmas De Gran Canaria, Spain
Cristina was born and studied music in Las Palmas De Gran Canaria, Spain. She studied at the city’s branch of the Canto Conservatory of music before ever taking a talent show stage. In 2016 she made her debut on her country’s Got Talent series, Got Talent España. Her audition was a rock-opera version of “Highway to Hell” by AC/DC. Ramos’s performance was so outstanding that she earned the coveted Golden Buzzer.
2. She Won La Voz México
The Got Talent franchise isn’t the only part of the TV talent show world Cristina has explored. After her Got Talent España victory, she went on to compete on La Voz… México (The Voice: Mexico) in 2018.
3. She Was on Both AGT: The Champions, BGT: The Champions
Outside of Got Talent España, Ramos has appeared on two other Got Talent series in 2019. She appeared on both America’s Got Talent: The Champions and Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions. Ramos made it into the Top 5 on AGT: The Champions, but did not make it past her qualifier round on BGT: The Champions.
4. She Got a Golden Buzzer on World’s Got Talent
Ramos is technically a two-time golden buzzer recipient. She gained her first from Got Talent España, with her second in World’s Got Talent. Some would say that this honor was greater than most because she received it from iconic musician, David Foster.
5. She Was in The Running for Eurovision 2022
Ramos was a one of nine candidates involved in a pre-selection to represent the country of San Marino in the upcoming 2022 Eurovision contest. On February 21, 2022 San Marino named Italian singer Achille Lauro as their official Eurovision representative.
6. She Regularly Performs Live
In addition to absolutely dominating the reality TV game, Cristina has also delivered some epic live performances. She has headlined a live concert called Rock Talent, which allowed her to show many different sides of her abilities as a performer to the audience.
7. She Releases Original Music
Ramos is known for her “wild style” versions of various classic rock its, but she has also released music of her own. Her original music, like her covers, feature her opera range as well as her rock range. This song released in 2021 is hauntingly good.
